Mapping food waste producers and needs

Has anyone looked at the issue of food waste and how to record orgs that produce it and those that would be interested in using food waste?

So for example, could TransforMap be useful when considering supermarkets that create surplus food (just gone out of date but edible) and local enterprises that redirect it to foodbanks, etc?

There are a couple of London Transition projects considering this area and I’m thinking about how TransforMap could be used for mapping.
