What, if an informal intiative does not have an address?

@species

Regina from Südwind asks a question to the template:

What should we do, if an initiative does not have a geographic location, as it is informal and does not have an office?

Give the closest city/place name?
Then we can get the default coordinates for it from OpenStreetNames or similar service

@species what is the default coordinates, and what does it mean?

  • If it is something like a club, it should be the place where they regularly meet.
  • For places like community gardens or marketplaces that don’t have a housenumber, please supply the coordinates (longitude, latitude) in the “X”,“Y”-fields instead.
  • If it is a pure online initiative, … either at the center of the region that it covers, or at the postal address of the responsive person - does that make sense?

I passed the information on as follows.

  • If it does not have any address or such, provide as much location information as you have (e.g. an initiative in Vienna, write Vienna in the city, the location will then
    be pointed at the city center)
